Del Norte Hosts Statewide Ag Teacher Roadshow

More than 100 ag teachers visited Del Norte for tours and workshops—click to find out more about the statewide event.

More than 100 agriculture teachers from across California visited Del Norte County as part of this year’s Ag Teacher Roadshow, a two-day event that rotates throughout the North Coast Region, from Livermore to Crescent City. This year, the Humboldt/Del Norte region served as host.

During the first day, participants toured a range of local agricultural and coastal industries, including Alexandre Dairy, United Lily Growers, F/V Mistasea, F/V Pullock, Safe Coast Seafood, and Seaquake Brewery, followed by an evening award ceremony at Elk Valley Casino.

On the second day, teachers attended rotating professional development workshops held at the Del Norte County Office of Education’s ERC and the College of the Redwoods campus. These sessions focused on strengthening agricultural programs and expanding opportunities for students statewide and in Del Norte County.

Thank you to our local CTE agriculture teachers for their support, and a special acknowledgment to Robyn Parker for coordinating Del Norte’s role in this year’s Roadshow.
